Modern teaching gives little emphasis to the brokenness of the soul, but according to 1 Thessalonians 5:23, God wants to sanctify your whole spirit, soul, and body. An unhealthy soul tie is like being entangled - a strand of your life is knotted and not connected to the whole.

We will cover:

1. What is a Soul Tie?

An emotional attachment that affects emotions, thinking, identity, decisions, or sense of security. Hebrew: Dabaq (to glue). Greek: Entangled cord.

2. Where Do Ungodly Soul Ties Come From?

a) Emotional Dependency - early childhood attachment, children becoming emotional caretakers, love withheld, guilt loyalty, absence of affirmation.

b) Trauma, Loss & Painful Experiences - abandonment creates fear of rejection, abuse creates control and trust issues, neglect creates extreme self-reliance and emotional numbness.

c) Sexual Sin - sex is nuclear and core to our identity. It gives away your honor (Proverbs 5:9), produces shame, keeps pulling you back (Proverbs 7:22), and leaves you empty.

3. How to Find Healing and Freedom

Walk through guided biblical prayers for healing from family wounds, abandonment, abuse, neglect, and sexual relationships. Learn to take your stand in Christ (James 4:7, Galatians 3:13, Colossians 2:14-15) and receive the Spirit of Adoption (Romans 8:15-16).

Final Declaration: My past is not my master! My wounds are not my identity! My fears are not my future! I am forgiven, redeemed, accepted, and strengthened! My history will NOT become my identity! My wounds will NOT determine my destiny!
