As much as we would like to think we are in control, we are not. Our past controls us, our thoughts control us, our circumstances, emotions, and people control us - and then there are unseen things that seem to be controlling us.

Over the next three weeks we are doing a basic examination of invisible things that exert control over us: This week - Open Doors, Next week - Soul Ties (Emotional Baggage), Final week - Generational Issues (Cleaning the Bloodline).

What is a Doorway? A point of access and entry. The Bible mentions doors, windows, and gates 1,100 times, 60 times in direct reference to the spiritual kingdom. Scripture mentions 15 specific doors that grant access to demonic forces.

The 7 Open Doors:

1. Unresolved Anger, Bitterness, Resentment & Unforgiveness

You withdraw, retaliate, accuse, or sabotage. Unforgiveness divides you from others, from the Lord, and from yourself. [2 Corinthians 2:10-11] Offense is what happened to you, unforgiveness allows it to keep happening.

2. Willful Compromise and Drift

"Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."
